Population and Migration

Today during class, our topic was population and migration. We talked about the growth rate of humans from back then and close to now. Right now, there are more than 7 billion people on earth. The population is increasing by 73 million per year. There were about 201,000 people born every day in 2013. If we break that down, we get about 8,377 people per hour. If we break it down even more, we get 140 people per minute. Break it down even more, we get 2.3 people per second. 90% of this population growth takes place in the developing countries of Africa, South and East Asia, and Latin America. India is also one of the most places to have lots of babes too. The people of India know that if they have 5 children, they will know that at least 3 of the 5 will survive. China is also one of the most to have lots of babies too. The population in China was too large that they had to have a new rule saying that everyone in the city can have only one child. They could not have two or more. We also talked about the average age people live till. In Manaco the average for men was 80.57, for women it was 93.77. In the US, the average for men was 76.05, for women it was 81,05. In Chad, the average for men was 48.69, for women it was 49.82.
