Five things to improve this year

Five things I hope to improve to this year to be successful is being organized with my locker, being faster at switching classes, improve my writing skills, typing faster, and try my very best. I want to organize my locker because my locker isn't the best organized locker on earth. Its really messy and my books are everywhere. Every time I open my locker to get my books for my next class, I feel like I'm in a hurricane where everything is all over the place and it takes me years to find the books I need for my classes. That takes me to my second thing I want to improve this year is being faster at switching classes. One of the reasons is having a messy locker which makes me have have to look for the books I need and wastes my time. Another reason is that I slow at having to gather all of my stuff from being in a class and get out. Im usually the last one out so I want to improve by being faster at gathering my books. My third thing I want to improve this year is my writing skills. I'm not a good writer when it comes to English. I don't really know what I'm doing wrong with my writing but I usually never get a good grade in writing essays, rough drafts, poems, ect. I want to change that this year. My fourth thing I want to improve this year is typing faster. Right now I'm typing this blog and its taking a pretty long time. I want to improve my typing skills to be faster so that a. I can do my homework faster when having to write essays, blogs, ect b. taking notes in class faster c. being able to catch up with the class if I'm behind. My last is trying my very best. As long as I know I tried my best in school I can be happy. I don't care if my parents say I need to try harder when I already know I tried my hardest, I can be happy that I know I tried my best to get to where I am today.

Today during class #2

During class we didn't do much. Our class was already ahead so it didn't matter. We mostly sat around and chatted. At the beginning of class you were 10 mins late. You called a kid to be in charge but he just joked around and made us all do simon says while you were gone. When you came back you checked our blog to make sure we had it complete. You called us up one by one while the rest sat around waiting and some of us played snake. Karson helped Rosemarry on her first day of school with her schedule to see what she has and where to go. I mostly sat around doing nothing and waited. We basically didn't learn anything and it was like a free class to do anything.

Today during class

Today during Human Geography we talked about the grading and how much points is taken off if not turned in on time. We talked about the grading scale on tests, quiz, projects, and homework and how much points each one is. For the first 20 mins we went over last nights homework to see who did and you didn't do homework. We went through the course syllabus. You said there were no extra credits because our school is a college prep school. We went over the policies in class. We went over about getting missed work the next day or after school. If we missed work we had to see your blog for updates on homework or ask anyone in class that can help on catching us up in class. Lastly we talked about our schedule this year and talked about upcoming tests later on.

First Day

I started of my day waking up in the morning at 6 am getting ready for the first day of school. I wore my uniform, got my books, ate breakfast and was out the door at 7 am. I got to the school at 7:20 am and I went straight to my locker to put my stuff away but a teacher went up to me and said I couldn’t be out at the lockers at this time. I didn’t understand because in middle school, when I got into the school I had to report to my locker first to put my stuff away. The teacher was nice and said for me to go back outside and I did. When it was 7:45 I reported to my locker but I forgot my locker combination and was stuck at my locker. I went to my advisory teacher to get my locker combination but my teacher wasn’t there. So I ended up waiting 10 mins for Mr.Moller to come back. My first place to go was the upper gym to get my picture taken. I couldn’t get my second picture taken for the har co card so I had to skip that and go to the lower gym for the next thing I had to do. When I was in the lower gym, the lower gym was divided into 2 sections. I was told to go to the half side gym close to the lockers. The teacher talked about the school rules and about bullying. Then I went to the other half of the lower gym for my next thing I had to do. The teacher talked about how gifted us students were. The next class was going to the brown room and we met up with the school councilors. Every councilor introduced themselves and we got to know them better. When I was done with the brown room I went to the auditorium and talked about how girls were smarter than guys at our age. Next I went to the cafeteria and the teachers talked about our field trips for the end of the year and field trips for world language students. Next I went on to my normal classes that I would originally have on Tuesday. I first had Human Geography with you. We talked about your blog, emailing you, buying composition books, and tonights homework. I next had Freshman Seminar with Mr. Sean. We talked about the school rules, bullying, and what you do through social media that can effect your job. I went to Intro to Bible next with Mr.Mike. We all introduced ourselves and talked about the rules in the classroom. My next class was Algebra with Mrs. R. In class we got our algebra books, and filled out a paper that was passed out that Mrs.R could get to know us better. My last class was orchestra with Mr. Marc. I was surprised when I found out that we only have 10 people playing in orchestra this year. In class we went over how lessons work, got to see the orchestra room and also wear we put our instruments. In the end I was very proud of my school and I really liked it. I thought the schedules were suitable for me. I didn't feel nervous throughout the day probably because I know that a lot of people are going through the same thing as I am so I'm not alone.
